Inner Attention, Inner Sensing, Mindfulness, Self-Awareness — for Yoga Teachers, Yoga Therapists, Health & Wellness Coaches, Holistic Healthcare Providers

Curation Overview

In this curation, we explore teachings on inner attention and mindfulness.

Objective

Be prepared to inspire and guide others in understanding the vital significance of — and practical approaches to — turning attention inward with compassionate awareness.

Description

Define and discuss the vital significance of inner attention and mindfulness, and practical techniques for cultivating them. Discuss the overarching aim to support a shift from automatic, unconscious patterns toward a more mindful, reflective way of being —using inner attention to develop self-awareness, inner stability, and insight. Provide teachings that inspire students and clients to bring attention into the body and reconnect with compassion. Recognize that concepts such as pratyahara, present moment awareness, The Witness, vijnanamaya kosha, and interoception are closely aligned with — and in many cases may be understood as synonymous with — mindfulness.
