There have been innumerable benefits to humanity from the dramatic increase in access to information that the Internet provided beginning in the mid 1990’s. But by the mid to late-2010’s, information overload was a serious problem and since the early 2020’s, we’ve been in full-on crises of trust and discernment. As we’ve all learned, every individual must find ways to use tech in a way that serves them, not fools or controls them.
As full-time researchers for decades, we’ve gained intimate knowledge of the Internet’s strengths and weaknesses. As a result, we’ve constantly evolved how we use search engines, AI, and tech platforms to maximize the benefits and minimize the harms. From that experience, we conduct the tedious legwork of verification of original sources that makes it possible for you to much more easily access and verify it. For example, we use AI all the time, but we find that it virtually never consults the sources we’ve known are outstanding since the 90s. When we’ve asked the right questions, it’s helped us find wonderful leads. But for the real-world issues we’ve concerned about, it’s never enough in itself. And we’ve caught it being wrong multiple times.
Providers need information in context, with details and real-world applicability — in a way that is flexible and organized so as not to waste time on what isn’t needed in the moment. We’re here to help you get evidence-based, customizable, and well-sourced research, information, and resources. We do that from having designed a resource from the ground up to provide portals that take you to invaluable resources without limit, organized in a way that you can be the director.
