Description

Be aware of the teaching and study material that serves as a highly useful background for understanding the thinking behind hip strengthening exercises. Provide general instructions given by an expert yoga therapist regarding such hip strengthening exercises. Describe a seated exercise to strengthen the external rotators and the psoas; a seated exercise to strengthen the abductors / internal rotators (TFL and glute medius); a side lying exercise for the glute minimus; a standing exercise to strengthen the inner thighs; and a seated exercise to strengthen the hip extensors (glute maximum and hamstrings).
