Lesson Overview

In this lesson, we introduce and explore insulin, blood sugar issues, and diabetes.

Objective

Be familiar with the physiology and vocabulary related to blood sugar levels and insulin and explore symptoms, root causes and evidence-based therapies for preventing and addressing elevated blood sugar and insulin issues.

Description

Describe the basic facts related to blood sugar and insulin. Define diabetes and different types of diabetes. Provide more detail on the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. List symptoms of diabetes. Explain how symptoms of diabetes and magnesium deficiency compare. Describe health and wellness practices shown to prevent and address blood sugar issues, citing expert sources and research to back the statements.
