Lesson Overview

In this lesson, we introduce the kosha model as a framework for understanding the human being and mapping our experience of the self.

Objective

Be familiar with the kosha model and explore practical ways to apply and teach it.

Description

Provide the historical origin and purpose of the kosha model. Define the term kosha and introduce the names and meanings of each of the five koshas. Explain the concept of the innermost core that the koshas surround. Describe practical approaches for teaching the kosha model, including examples of teachings and techniques that can help students and clients explore and experience the koshas.
