In this lesson, we explore the importance of mindfulness, humility and boundaries during teaching.
Be aware of the critical role of mindfulness and embodiment while teaching and explore how to apply humility and boundaries for optimum outcomes.
Explain how mindfulness and embodiment contribute to good teaching. Provide an example of being humble and transparent as a teacher, and why this is recommended. Explain what it means to see and honor each student. Describe why a teacher might avoid describing an expectation that students will feel something or have a particular result during practice, and how unconscious expectations can be passed on to students. Note what you can do if faced with a question outside of your expertise, and how you can respond if a student is potentially distracting other students. Describe two strategies that can help you to protect the quiet of Savasana.
